Sweet Retreat: Lodge and Event Venue

The spacious stone home and venue can be rented separately, or as a package. This beautiful home features large living spaces both inside and out! There is a vast covered deck and 13 acres of woods to enjoy outside. The hot tub, large stone fireplace, and views of nature give the home the feel of a luxury resort! The spacious, fully equipped kitchen is a dream for any cook. High end appliances and endless counter space make accommodating large families and groups a pleasure. The family's library (books, games and movies) contains over a thousand titles on a variety of topics. Enjoy as many as you  like, as often as you wish, or  basketball court in the driveway! We are proud to be a dog-friendly property and would be happy to accommodate your pet(s)!

The venue that was crafted from logs harvested on site, and currently seats 120 (in both venue and under roof on the large deck for receptions.  There are plans to expand in 2024. SInce it opened in October of 2019, Sweet Retreat has become a popular choice for couples, families, and groups of all types celebrating their vacations and weddings in Wild Wonderful West Virginia!
